Hello everyone,

Sorry it's been so long since the last newsletter but we promise to do better.  Fishing is in the summer pattern which means early in the morning and late afternoon is the best.  You can still catch 'em in the middle of the day in deeper water, 10 to 15 feet, bouncing a gulp off the bottom.  Big reds are being caught on oyster bars and in creek mouths.  Scallops are in this year and everyone has gotten as many as they felt like working for.  If you want to scallop, hurry out, the season ends September 25.  On that note, fall and fall fishing is right around the corner.  If you haven't made your fall reservation , you need to do it now because we're filling up fast. 

The Old Fart Fishing Team (Buster, Rooster and Jimmy) was down for a couple of days and managed a nice bucket of fish.  Captain Garry Schnake and grandson fished with Dave Cochran and had a real nice catch with several trout over 20".
