Shell Island Fish Camp Fishing Report November 30, 2009
Well folks, you are not going to believe what I'm about to tell you, but here goes. Fishing is as good as I've ever, yes ever, seen. It is right before Thanksgiving and the trout are still on the flats. The weather has been as perfect as it could be. Live shrimp or gulps (I think even a piece of your shirt-tail would work)or anything you throw at them is good. West flats, in close, around Kitchens Cove is the best place.
I have talked about the flats but don't get me wrong the river is mighty good also. I, yes me, went fishing last Tuesday. Had my limit of trout by 10:15 and they were "good uns". (That's all I catch. Ha!!) Had to work a little harder for the reds with a whole bunch of little ones but a whole bunch of fun. We ended up with a 25" and a 21" red. As the saying goes I caught um, I cleaned um, I cooked um and I ate um. Don't get no better than that.
Hope y'all had a great Thanksgiving and remember to keep Shell Island on your mind and in your prayers.
Tight lines and good fishing,
Allen
