Hello Fishermen,

We are still here.  We know it's been a long time but in our defense a lot has gone on.  Our family patriarch, Alex Hobbs passed away on June 28, 2010.  As many of you know he purchased Shell Island for his family in 1962 and was pleased to know his fish camp would continue for a 3rd generation to run.  Allen and Ruthie Hobbs, the 2nd generation, retired on July 31st turning over the reins to us, Jimmy and Sherie Bevis.  It's been exciting and very busy.  Through the fall and winter, we made a few changes thatt we hope our customers will notice and appreciate.

Suddenly spring is coming fast.  The water temperature has risen from 51 degrees to 65 degrees in just a couple of weeks.  As you all know, 68 is the target water temp for the fishing to turn on.  We have been busy making registrations for spring and summer.  So get your friends and family together to select some dates and call for your fishing trip reservations.  Those of you with boats, now is the time for a spring service to avoid finding problems when the fish are biting.

We look forward to keeping up our family's tradition by taking care of all your fishing needs.  We hope to see you soon.

Tight lines and good fishing,

Jimmy and Sherie
